Zac Mills is the founder and head instructor of Maxwell Aviation.  He is a Navy Submarine Veteran who served for 9 years as a nuclear machinist mate. During his last few years he discovered a passion for aviation.  

     Prior to leaving the Navy Zac trained to become a Commercial Pilot, and shortly after separating, a full time Certified Flight Instructor.  He began teaching and launched Maxwell Aviation part-time in 2024.  He currently has over 800 hours of flight instruction and counting.

Chris Hoffman is a co-owner of Maxwell Aviation.  

Chris is a Army Veteran who served for 5 years in the signal corps.  He has a bachelors in Business and a Master’s in Computer Engineering.

Chris has a passion for flight and education.  He is a student pilot and is also an active member of the Bremerton EAA and Bremerton Pilots Association.  

Chris has also recently become a FAASTeam representative which allows him to provide WINGS eligible trainings for pilots.

Summer Beasley [Hoffman] is a co-owner of Maxwell Aviation.  

Summer is a Teacher working with students with vision impairments.  She has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Special Education.

Summer has a passion for flight, community outreach, and mentorship.  She is a student pilot and an active member of EAA, Bremerton Pilots Association, and the Greater Seattle Ninety-Nines.
